2011 Dissertation Writing Retreat

The MAA Dissertation Writing Retreat, conducted by Dr. Wendy Carter from TADA! (Thesis and Dissertations Accomplished), provides a unique opportunity for dissertating AGEP Scholars to make significant progress toward completing their dissertation. During the four-day retreat dissertators will engage in skill-building workshops, meet with a dissertation coach and spend dedicated time writing.

Selection Process

Four participants from each participating institution (MSU, UM, WSU, WMU) will be selected for participation in the Dissertation Writing Retreat. The following applicants will have priority:

• Applicants who plan to finish their Ph.D. by Spring 2012 semester
• Individuals who are, at least, at the proposal stage of their dissertation
• Applicants who submit earliest
• Individuals who appear most able to benefit from the services offered at the Dissertation Retreat
